Tuba player Ryan Martini, 17, and trumpet player Steven Vic, 17, both of Marion High School had different ways of coping with the heat during band camp at the high schoolTuesday.

Martini tossed his shirt and Vic cooled it behing his shades.

Chuck Williamson, director of bands for Marion High School said the camp, which started Aug. 2, runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day for two weeks. The band will conclude it’s practice season with a performance Friday night at 7 p.m. at the football field. The theme will be Qui Dam from
Cirque Du Soleil.
