Deadlines for carriers to deliver the Marion Daily Republican have been pushed back one hour, Publisher Tim Petrowich said today.

The change is due to increased traffic and road construction in and around Marion, Petrowich said. Carriers are being delayed from finishing their routes by circumstances beyond their control.

Subscription customers are asked to give carriers until 6:30 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. on weekends before calling the MDR circulation department.

Delivery of the Saturday paper is also delayed during football and basketball season by a later editorial deadline which allows game stories to be published.
