Meetings to dicuss retired teachers’ benefits

Two meetings to discuss retiree benefits for teachers will be held next week.
The first will be 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, in Marion High School’s auditorium. The second will be Tuesday, Sept. 9, in the Benton Grade School library.
The meetings are hosted by the state’s Teachers’ Retirement System and Franklin-Williamson Regional Office of Education.
Information will cover teacher’s benefits, ways to optimize a teacher’s service credit prior to retirement and the retirement process.
