Daryl E. Yackey, 91, passed away Monday, June 23, 2008, at  5:10 p.m. at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center.

Daryl was born Nov. 5, 1916, the daughter of Aurthur and Edith (Pfundt) Stricker in St. Louis. She married Gilmore L. Yackey June 5, 1936, and together they shared more than 46 years of marriage until his death in July of 1982.

She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in St. Louis County and she retired from the accounting department of the Salvation Army.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Oak Hill Baptist Church in St. Louis County. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
